The orchestra consists of flute, piccolo, Bb clarinet, Eb Clarinet, alto clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, oboe, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, french horn, trumpet, cornet, tenor trombone, bass trombone, tuba, euphonium, bass and percussion.

We have a number of vacancies across the band, particularly on French horn, tuba, alto clarinet, trombone, alto/tenor saxophone and percussion, alto/tenor saxophone.

We don't hold any auditions, but we generally expect members to be of Grade 6 standard or above (though you don't need to have taken any exams). If we have a vacancy, we'll invite you along to a rehearsals so you can try us out before deciding whether to join.

If you decide to join, our membership fees are £45 per quarter. Membership fees are waived for students in full time education. In cases of financial hardship, the Committee may agree to waive fees for other individuals on a case by case basis.
